Here are her responses:
How long have you been a blogger?
I’ve been blogging since September 2010, so almost nine months now.
Approximately, how many books do you read every year?
I set a different goal every year. Last year my goal was to read 100 books, and this year my goal is 150. It varies, but I try and read at least 100 books a year.
What were your favourite books as a child?
I remember in third grade I was the biggest Roald Dahl fan. I read all of his books! Then in fifth grade I read all of the Lemony Snicket books at least twice.
What are you reading at the moment?
Right now I’m reading I’ll Be There by Holly Goldberg Sloan, which is really quite good so far, and Putting Makeup on Dead People by Jen Violi.
If you had to pick one, what’s the best book you’ve read in the last twelve months?
There are so many! If I had to choose just one I’d say Clarity by Kim Harrington. It’s got such a great mix of all genres and a fantastic plot!
Who are you three favourite authors?
Melina Marchetta, Jennifer Echols, and Cassandra Clare. These women are writing geniuses!
Which book has had the greatest impact on your life?
Sea by Heidi R. Kling. This is one of those books that makes you realize just how good you have it.
Which books are you most eagerly anticipating?
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin and If I Die by Rachel Vincent.
If you had to invite some book characters round for dinner, who would you choose and why?
Any characters from The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. These characters seem so real to me, I can actually imagine having dinner with them. Plus they’re all highly entertaining!
What advice would you give to new bloggers?
Don’t worry about what other people think. I’m sure they hear this a lot but it’s true. Blog about what you want. Don’t worry if not everyone likes what you talk about. And don’t worry about getting followers. It might take time but they will come.
Which other book blogs do you recommend?
Thanks to Kathryn for taking the time to answer our questions. Check out her great blog.
